 Lamination machines are the most commonly used machines in schools, offices, business centers, colleges, etc. This machine helps in protecting important documents from water, dust, and other damages. The function of a Decorative Lamination Machinery is to lend a permanent plastic film over papers, posters, etc. in order to keep them from tearing and make them last longer.
There are two types of laminates :
- Hot Laminate
- Cold Laminate.
In the process of hot lamination, heat is used to melt the glue extruded on a lamination film. On the other hand, cold lamination is used when materials that are sensitive to heat are needed to be laminated. Carbon copies are usually laminated through col lamination process. For cold laminate, you need to incite the laminate by using pressure and not heat. It is done with the help of a machine that has rolls for pressing both the layers of laminate.

Large Hot Laminator
This type of lamination machine is used for laminating large items or many items at the same time. In the large hot laminator there are heated rollers for melting glue extruded onto the lamination film. The technique of heating the glue before applying a film to substrate helps in faster application of the film. When machine is turned on, rollers pull down the bottom layer forward and simultaneously top layer is rolled out. In the whole procedure, it is the heating mechanism that seals two layers together at the ends.
Pouch Laminator
Pouch laminator is very much similar to the large hot lamination machine. The difference is it is small in size and a laminating pouch is employed which is sealed on one side. The inside of lamination pouch is pre-coated with a heat activated film. This film gets attached to the products while its running through the laminator.
